Das Programm "Vision 2020 - The Right to Sight"
ist 9 Jahre alt, womit fast 50 % der Programmzeit vorüber sind. Es
stellt sich die Frage, was hat das Programm der WHO und IAPB
bisher erreicht, in wie weit konnten die ehrgeizigen Pläne in den
Bereichen Disease Control, Infrastructure Development und Human
Resource Development umgesetzt werden?
An inhaltlichen, auf einzelne Krankheitsbilder bezogenen und
regionalen, auf die verschiedenen Kontinente bezogene Beiträge und
Beispiele soll demonstriert und diskutiert werden, welche der
vorgegebenen Ziele erreicht wurden und was bis 2020 zu tun
bleibt.
